Subject: minutes from 6/25 telecon There were a few action items from 2 weeks ago. Bring your updates later this morning. - A GLIMPSE colloquium is requested at JPL in the fall. Dan will be there Nov 4,5. Remy may go there in the fall if we think this will allow us to wring some software from SSC. Ed will double-check their online schedule URL. - new AORs were submitted. First segment is as late as possible in May, and we and SSC decided it's not feasable to do GLIMPSE in < 1 year. - more discussion of reliability: we can release a "catalogue" at whatever reliability they want, but it won't have very many objects. What will happen to the remaining source "database" and how will the public benefit from it? Ed will try to contact Soifer and clarify exactly what they want. We need to try to get a contact from the 2MASS team to advise us and determine exactly how well they did in the plane. Ed will contact Roc? Remy will work on estimating how many objects we'll have above 99.5% reliability. - We need to clarify with SSC that we are _not_ going to cross-ID with 2MASS. - There is interest among the legacy PIs to do a (series) of PASP papers on legacy projects, but this may be against PASP editorial policy until the data is taken. - The SOC and LOC for the June BU symoposium were outlined SOC: Bania, Ed, Dickey, Weinberg, Gerhard (sp?), Hollenbach, Spergal LOC: Clemens, Bania, ??? - Remy will probably go to SSC during IOC/SV. We (Ed?) will at least put in a request for a desk during this time.
