Telecon Minutes of 05 January 2001, 2:30 CST
TEAM PRESENT: Churchwell, Whitney, Kobulnicky, Marilyn Meade, Brian Babler (UW data analysts) TEAM BY TELECON: Seager, Wolff, Clemens, Wolfire There are lots of things we need to learn at our Pasadena meeting at SSC 12-13 January. Churchwell, Kobulnicky and Clemens will attend. Will SSC release reduction software to community? Wolfire commented that the best option for zodiacal light removal is the DIRBE light model. Will this model be implemented in SPOT? Can we use the DIRBE model? Is it included in IRsky? Dan wonders to what degree we will be bound by NASA project management guidelines? Goddard or OSS will have the documents on data management for those that want to see them. Can we have minimum IRAC exposure time modified? Probably not; spacecraft momentum management is the main obstacle. Will mapping be as feasible as it was in proposal guidelines? How will startup budgets be ramped up? What if additional delays occur? What level of data will be released to us? When can we get sample data? Can we get a data description? Keywords, data storage requirements... We need to identify synergies with other IRAC projects regarding software/targetting strategies/databases. Condor: put it in the realm of value added and keep it out of the critial critical path. We'll revisit this later if it becomes necessary. We will need two good workstations at least, so it will not save us any money. Dan suggests need to put plans together for what we are doing in the form of goals for each group. Reminder: SIRTF IGPS web page at www.astro.wisc.edu/~chip/SIRTF/ now has a team-only section that is password protected; user=team pwd=475N.Charter NEXT TELECON: Tuesday, Jan 23rd, 11:00 a.m. Central time.
